NASA's Artemis 2 lunar mission in 2024 will send the first astronauts around the moon in nearly 50 years. The mission will launch four astronauts around the moon on a lunar flyby aboard an Orion spacecraft using a Space Launch System rocket.

Both 2024-T3 aluminum and 2024-T3511 aluminum are variants of the same material. They share alloy composition and many physical properties, but develop different mechanical properties as a result of different processing. There are 31 material properties with values for both materials.
