Q1. Go Back Couple (Confession Couple) ended with a success

I’m very thankful that I am allowed to be a part of such a great drama. But I also felt a bit sad that it ended up like this.

Q2. Why do you think Go Back Couple (Confession Couple) got so many positive feedbacks?

That’s the power of Ha Byeong Hoon director-nim and Kwon Hye Joo writer-nim. Every character is so alive and has their own personalities. I felt they are so great every time when i saw them. Viewers also find the drama is interesting and touching to watch. Our drama is not just interesting, it’s very very interesting. My mother, uncle, and friends also had the same reaction to our drama. It’s a drama that’s loved by people from 20 to 69 years.

Q3. Did you foresee the success of your character?

I really don’t have this thought, because it’s a really well-written character, at the audition, I rehearsed it in my brain once, so I can act it out perfectly. And I did kind of good so I was satisfied. I had my eyes on this character when I first received the script. I am very grateful to the director for watching over me prettily.

Q4. What reason do you think that Jung Nam-gil receive so many audience’s love?

I owe it all to Jang Na-ra noona and Director Ha Byung-hoon. I’m the youngest less-experienced. But I have to act as as a senior university in the drama, so I was worried. At first, I was nervous and stiff. I was confident when I attended the audition, but things didn’t go my way. Whewe’re in the middle of filming, I told Na-ra Nuna and Director Ha Byung-hoon my worries, at that time, it was really tough and I couldn’t even fall asleep. But Na-ra and Director Ha Byung-hoon told me that “Trust us, just act.” This gave me great power and after that, I wasn’t scared anymore, and had the confidence to make this character vivid.

Q5. How did you feel when you’re auditioning for Jung Nam Gil?

Jung Nam-gil feels like myself. I really like him. and because wearing uniform, I looked really nice.

Q6. There were so many of news about you

That was really new to me, it was my first time to receive so many attentions, and range that people knows me became wider. Before this drama, only young students pay me their attention and know me, but after I acted on Go Back Couple, 40 to 50 uncles and aunts started to know me, which was pretty new and magic to me. As more and more people start to know me, I felt great responsibility at the same time.

Q7. As a junior but acting a senior’s role, in this kind of situation, do you have any difficulty?

In terms of appearance, I didn’t have any difficulty. On the contrary, when I stood next to Nara noona, I looked older. Even though we look good, but she looks younger and smaller than me made me feel weirdI (laugh). About acting, instead of working hard alone, I preferred to believe in Nara noona and prepared myself naturally.

Q8. How to overcome the age differences when you and Jang Na-ra act as couple?

I couldn’t detect the age gap at all. On the contrary, I thought I felt like I’m older than her. Actually, my personality is like a middle-aged man. (laughs)”

Q9. If actors are uncles, we choose Heo Jung-min

“(Laugh) Unfortunately I didn’t have many scenes with Jeong Min hyung. Lee Yi-Kyung hyung and Jeong Min hyung were really funny on set.

Q10. In the drama, you were so naive. How is your dating style in the real life?

In the drama, the way Jung Nam-gil talked is direct. Normally I am a cold and shy person. But if I like a girl, I will act like Jung Nam-gil, try to face it and deal with it. I prefer action over words. But I’m not the bad boy type. Even though my blood type is B, I feel like I have the mixed personality of all the blood types. Sometime I don’t even understand myself (laugh).

Q11. Your ideal type

I like girl who likes to eat, even though she would be a bit chubby, but this kind of chubby and enjoy eating girl is my type. I bumped into that kind of girl a very long time ago.

Q12. What kind of love you like to have?

First of all, I really want to have someone I can give my love to. It would be nice if we could do anything we want to do together. Go to amusement park and go on a picnic, this kind of simple way to spend time together is good.

Q13. Don’t you feel disappointed that you couldn’t be with Jang Na-ra (in the drama)?

Not really. It was hurt but it was love, so I chose to let her go. At the moment Ma Jin-joo called Choi Ban-do “husband”, Nam-gil already had some kind of thought and prepared to bid farewell to her for good.

Q14. Even though it’s just acting, did you feel hurt?

When we were filming the farewell scene, I needed to act like I have no other option but accept the reality. Nam-gil is really a good person. He got hurted a lot by his mom. He’s a tender-hearted guy so I feel more attached to him.

Q15. If you like a girl who like someone else?

Although every situation is different, but if I like her, I will confess sincerely so that I won’t feel regret later. If we can’t be together, then it’s ok. I’m going to do everything I can.
