Everyone knows he’s got the serial dater reputation, but deep down I’m convinced John Mayer has got some of the best advice out there. Aside from the fact that he has the voice of an angel and a style of play that you can’t turn your ears away from, he has gently hidden some fierce inspiration in his songs. Wondering where these lyrics are? Here are a list some of his finest.

1. "Daughters."

"Fathers, be good to your daughters, daughters will love like you do. Girls, become lovers who turn into mothers, so mothers, be good to your daughters too."

2. "I Will Be Found (Lost At Sea)."

"I’m a little lost at sea, I’m a little birdy in a big old tree. Ain’t nobody looking for me, here out on the highway. But I will be found. I will be found. When my time comes down, I will be found."

3. " On The Way Home."

"Just remember on the way home, you were never meant to feel alone. It takes a little while, but you’ll be fine -- another good time coming down the line."

4. "Love Is A Verb."

"Love is a verb. It ain’t a thing. It’s not something you hold, it’s not something you scream. When you show me love, I don’t need your words. Love ain’t a thing, love is a verb."

5. "War of My Life."

"If fear hasn’t killed me yet, then nothing will… I'm in the war of my life, at the core of my life, got no choice but to fight 'till it's done."

6. "Vultures."

"Down to the wire, I wanted water but I’ll walk through the fire, if this is what it takes to take me even higher, then I’ll come through like I do when the world keeps testing me."

7. "The Heart of Life."

"Pain throws your heart to the ground, love turns the whole thing around. No, it won’t all go the way it should, but I know the heart of life is good."

8. "Say."

"Have no fear for giving in, have no fear for giving over. You’d better know that in the end, it’s better to say too much than never to say what you need to say. Say what you need to say."

9. "Bigger Than My Body/"

"Someday I’ll fly, someday I’ll soar, someday I’ll be so much more, cause I’m bigger than my body gives me credit for."

10. "Who You Love"

"I’ve tried to run before, but I’m not running anymore, because I’ve fought against it hard enough to know that you love who you love. You can’t make yourself stop dreaming who you’re dreaming of. If it’s who you love, then it’s who you love."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
