When you’re just starting out with any hobby, you need a kit or guide that matches your skill level. It’s just an extra benefit when it doesn’t feel boring and you actually get to enjoy the first steps of your new-found hobby. The same goes for embroidery, which is why we hand-picked our favorite hand-embroidery patterns for beginners.
Here’s the deal, hand embroidery is not something you get “good” at overnight although it is something you can pretty much “do” right away. An embroidery pattern that suits your interest and isn’t too complicated will be key to keeping up with your hobby.
Out of all the hobbies you could start as a mom – or anyone else for that matter – embroidery is one that really allows you to appreciate the final product, however long it ends up taking.
To make it easier to navigate, we’re going to break our beginner hand embroidery patterns into two sections: free embroidery patterns and paid embroidery patterns.
Embroidery Patterns for Beginners [Paid Edition]
Kicking off our list of embroidery patterns for beginners, let’s look at the paid patterns. Most, although not all, paid beginner embroidery patterns offer a bit more guidance than free patterns. Paid patterns typically offer additional steps for learning how to do specific stitches, and what to do if you’ve messed up.
