     My next pick for a day excursion to a Bangkok floating market is the Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market. There is a floating market and a ground market in Bangkok's Taling Chan District, at the intersection of Bang Ramat Road and Khlong Lat Ta Niaw (also known as Khlong Lat Mayom) in the Bang Ramat Subdistrict.

These days, there are eight distinct areas where customers can stroll, shop, sample, and relax while perusing goods like seafood, grilled fish, papaya salad, grilled chicken, garden-fresh vegetables, and traditional Thai desserts with large pieces and tight fillings, rarely seen anywhere else, and the sellers, who are dressed traditionally in Thai garb, sit at a table while they prepare fresh snacks, new pieces for crisp, delicious, and ancient-style egg desserts.

     One of the best things about the Khlong Lat Mayom market is the wide variety of delicious traditional Thai sweets available here that can be hard to locate elsewhere. Khanom Ko, a popular delicacy in southern Thailand, is made with either fresh coconut milk or dried desserts flavored with fresh or dried coconut and sesame. The next treat is a rice cake with a variety of grains and berries on top, which should appeal to health-conscious eaters. “Delicious” and “practical” are two words that can be used to describe it.
