Description

As an adult ESL instructor, I always try to find different ways to help my students learn English. I have found that they really enjoy (and learn) by playing Songs and showing videos. This file contains the following: a link to a YouTube video, the lyrics to the song with blanks for students to fill in, and the song (on the back) will all the lyrics.

I left the file intentionally as a word document so that you can adjust it to your class level as needed. I generally play it 3 - 4 times: 1) just have the students watch and listen to the video; 2) listen to it again and try to fill in the blanks; 3) listen to it, with me stopping at the fill-ins for the answers; 4) listen to the song again with all the missing words filled in. Then we go over vocabulary words and discuss the meaning of the song. This activity can take anywhere from 20 - 60 minutes depending on the song's difficulty and meaning.
