III.Results:
For this lab my classmates and I all had to go to different locations to collect the data
that was needed. Some of us were out in the sun, others were in the shade so we all
got different answers on our sheet. For my location I was out in front of the Center
for Environmental and Life Sciences (CELS). At that location we looked at three sub
location for our data, there were the grass, mulch, and rocks. The sites had many
characteristics but the three that my group choose to focus on was the location had
direct sun light that happened to be shining from the right side. The wind was blowing
at CELS but it felt like it had a tunnel breeze. The last thing that we said was it had
a very diverse landscape. We also gave characteristics for the three sub locations
that we observed. For number one we looked at the grass and it was yellow with
wet soil. Number two was the mulch and it was black, brown, and dry. Number three
was the rocks and they were large, smooth, and greyish. The characteristics of the

months. The family has a long history of problems and has had the opportunity to
work with Family Preservation workers in an attempt to keep the children at home
with the mother. Recent visits have shown that further involvement from Family
Preservation Services would not be beneficial. A safety plan was put into place with

to become improved writers. Students received the opportunity to identify their
strengths and weaknesses and come to a conclusion on what makes favorable
writing. While writing the assigned essays this semester, I realized being able to
read and write about something that is relatable is extremely critical. When an
individual can relate to what they are reading, they will be more engaged compared
to reading a piece that fails to connect to them. Although the first year writing
program succeeded in building up betterwriters, there is always room for
improvement. The program could consider new pieces of work and content that is
recent that students can form an opinion on and relate to.
While writing, individuals should always keep in mind, honesty, personal
experience, and sending a message. Incorporating these values into a paper results
in a piece of writing that is relatable and clear to understand. Personal experience
and examples provide a reasonable amount of evidence for a reader. This will show
that the topic being written about can happen and impact any individual. Also,
honesty is crucial when wanting to make a point about the topic being written about.
Writing that sends a message is essential due to the fact that the reader can identify

In his discussions with analysts at major investment banks that underwrite technology

Hansen had come away with two requirements for Metapath to be saleable as a

term sheets and so most of the negotiations took place with the partners at RSC.
Subsequent to a term sheet being settled the company invited TCV to join with RSC
and the existing insiders to form a $11.75 million round.

When regarding the different options I had in comparing two of the works we
have already read this semester, my mind automatically went to William Blake s
Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience. Blake s examination of the duality of
a single subject s nature lends itself perfectly to a close reading such as this. When
looking at the different options available to me in Blake s volumes, Holy
Thursday (both the Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience versions)
demonstrated this duality clearly. The subject in Holy Thursday stays the same,
however, the nature of the subject is drastically different in each poem. In both
Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience, the poem titled Holy Thursday
occurs on Holy Thursday. This was a special service at St. Paul s Cathedral in
London, which was held on the first Thursday in May. The tradition started in 1782,
and this special service was held for the poorest children in London. These children
would be brought to the church by their parish officers, serving approximately six
thousand children. Both poems focus on this procession of children to the cathedral,
describing the state of the children and the varying attitudes towards the event itself.
These varying attitudes are what divides these poems that are so similar in content

with two little girls being evacuated to a safe and distant city during the Blitz in
England. The two little girl s have no clue to where they are being sent and know
nothing about each other. One of the girl s name is Penny, who is described as tall,
thin and dark and appears to be the older one and the second girl Primrose, is
