Mila Kunis’ Latest Project Shows She May Be Ready to Step Back Into Hollywood Spotlight After Letters Scandal

Warning: This post contains descriptions of sexual violence.

Despite many thinking Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher would be stepping away from Hollywood for good, this casting news proves that Kunis is ready to be a beloved leading lady again after the letters scandal. While they have taken a few months to remain mostly private, the pair made a soft return to the public when they briefly appeared in a video congratulating Caitlin Clark on setting the NCAA career scoring record. But now, it seems Kunis is ready to be a leading lady again.

In an exclusive released from Deadline, Skydance has made a deal with Mila Kunis to produce and star in a new project: The 47 Night Stand. Not much is known about the plot, but the outlet reports it’s “a fresh and funny take on romance in the tradition of classic favorites.”

The script is from Greg Malins, who produced shows like Friends and How I Met Your Mother. Along with that, Kunis is going to produce through her company Orchard Farm Productions, which was responsible for producing projects like Luckiest Girl Alive and The Los Night.

So it seems Kunis is truly back at it with being a leading lady. And this isn’t the only project she’s signed onto.

Kunis is still voicing Meg Griffin on Family Guy, and has two more projects on the way: an action film called Jackpot alongside Jennifer Garner and Bryan Cranston, and Goodrich, a drama-comedy that has stars like Andie MacDowell, Poorna Jagannathan, and Michael Keaton attached.

It seems she’s ready to dive back into the spotlight, but Kutcher is seemingly still behind the camera and staying low-key for now.

And if you need a recap, Kunis and Kutcher have been mostly MIA since it came to light that they supported convicted rapist Danny Masterson. After That 70’s Show star Masterson was sentenced to serve 30 years to life in prison for raping two women, letters from Kutcher and Kunis that tried to convince the judge of leniency were leaked. They created an apology video, but it received more criticism that claimed the video seemed disingenuous.
