Meaning of the song 21 Guns of Green Day

In an interview of Much Music and in the magazine "Soy Rock" appear the
opinions of Billie Joe and Mike about the song. Here I transcribe part of what
they said:

Billie: "Many people may think that this song is about world peace or something
like that, but I think it also tries to get carried away by the environment to find a
bit of inner peace, strength or silence." Getting carried away does not mean that
you always give up, but it also means that you want to look for a bit of humanity.
"

Mike: "It's a very powerful moment, and I think it will be even more when we
play it live." On the album, it is one of the moments when you feel that you
surrender to your emotions and to your own humanity. very heavy content. "

In short, it is that when you are down you should look for something (peace,
silence, strength, humanity) with what you can let go emotionally. Values that
are sought to be strengthened in the midst of so much chaos. As a problem that
is fought with emotions.

Dejarse llevar no quiere decir
