Chris Joyce Movies and Munchies (YouTube) There’s a lack of tension to the narrative that if included, could make this an engaging watch, but as it stands, it’s a forgettable story supported only with fun hand-to-hand combat. Rated: 2.5/5 Dec 9, 2022 Full Review Monique Jones Common Sense Media A bland action-thriller with lots of violence, drugs and language. Rated: 2/5 Dec 5, 2022 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation A slick looking B-movie, even if its plot points and “surprises” are as obvious as the low-speed head-butts, punches and kicks we see coming from a mile off. Sean T this was a really good script and a great cast. The huge problem was the fight scenes. They looked like rehearsals. Very slow and unbelievable. The director could have speed up the frame rate. but noooooo! Too bad for the movie, and its stars with such potential. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/14/23 Full Review gerald p teachers know how ridiculous this film is Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/09/22 Full Review camille b terrible movie... in poland, drug dealers do not know guns so a teacher can beat 10 of them at the time. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/22 Full Review Alexandre B Good action movie 🍿 good to watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/28/22 Full Review Aldo32ify We have seen this exact movie before in The Substitute. This is the Polish version of that movie. Carbon Copy is what it should have been called, except this one was far worse. Another Netflix bomb. The action scenes are about the worst I have seen in any movie. The acting is so bad. The script is bad. Skip this hunk of junk. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/28/22 Full Review harris r It started off good and interesting, then it just became another 80's Karate Kid-type film we've all seen many times before - from the 80's and 90's. The fight scenes were too many and too boring, and the entire story had every cliche you can imagine. There were probably as many plot holes as there were fight scenes, and the entire story had nothing new to offer for this genre as it was entirely predictable. The romance scenes were cheesy and sappy as well. Plus it got tiresome glorifying the lead actor as some tough-guy - almost as if he wrote the story to make himself an action star, which was unconvincing from the start. The normally comfortable 101 min felt dragged out with all the cliched and predictable scenes, even though it had decent pacing. Perhaps in the hands of a better director and more convincing lead, I may have given it an extra point or two, but as was, not offering anything new to the genre, it's a very generous 6/10 from me - mostly because it was an international Polish and non-Hollywood film that was still watchable, one time.
