“When several friends and colleagues reminded me that it was the 40th birthday of The Joker album, I smiled—and started playing the whole album’s songs live again,” Steve Miller said in a press release. “And at the end of the last tour realized we had a great new record that we wanted to share with our fans. We hope you like it as much as we did playing and recording it.”

The Steve Miller Band kick off their 41-date tour with Journey and Tower of Power tonight, May 15th, at the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Chula Vista, California and will criss-country the country before ending at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center on August 1st. The tour was recently included in Rolling Stone‘s 40 Hottest Summer Tours. You can get ticket information and check out a full list of tour dates over on the band’s website.
