Foreigner , the classic rock band that's no stranger to the world of success, is ready to rock on.

Fresh off of its biggest year since founder Mick Jones re-formed the British-American band in 2004 with new lead singer Kelly Hansen, Foreigner is bringing its best songs to Treasure Island Resort and Casino for a night of rock classics.

Although best remembered for its huge catalog of hits in the 1970s and 1980s — "I Want to Know What Love Is," "Jukebox Hero," "Urgent," "Hot Blooded," "Feels Like the First Time," "Waiting for a Girl like You," "Cold as Ice," "Head Games" and "I Don't Want to Live Without You" to name a few — Foreigner is not done yet.

The band released its latest album, "Feels Like The First Time," in September. The three-disc set includes new digital studio recordings of its greatest hits, a DVD of the PBS TV special and "Acoustique," a CD featuring unplugged versions of some of the band's most memorable songs.

Jones and Lou Gramm, the original lead vocalist who is no longer with the band, were also nominated for induction to the Songwriters Hall of Fame this fall.

Foreigner ended the year on a high note when Terry McDermott sang one of rock 'n' roll's most enduring power ballads, Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is," on NBC's hit vocal competition television show "The Voice."

McDermott's version of the song hit No. 1 and Foreigner's original version, recorded in 1984, went to No. 6 on iTunes' Top 10 chart after the show aired.

The recent successes show how the band's mix of blues, rock and impeccably crafted pop songs continues to captivate generations of music fans.
