Sweet Baby James will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Mauch Chunk Opera House, 14 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe.

Sam Hyman's Sweet Baby James trio show pays tribute to the music of James Taylor.  A musician, vocalist and composer, Hyman's original music has featured in various television and theatrical productions. He received his degree in music composition from the D'Angelo School of Music, and has since worked with acts as Lou Rawls, Eric Burden, Peter, Paul and Mary, Crosby Stills & Nash, Mitch Ryder, Aimee Mann, 10,000 Maniacs and The Violent Femmes.

Hyman collaborated with Praz (Fugees, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill) on Dante Thomas' cover of Hyman's original song “Fly,” the title cut of Thomas' freshman Elektra Records release. Recently, Hyman's original song “You're In My Heart” featured on CBS' “The Young and the Restless.”

Taylor, inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, released his self-titled debut album in 1968, with his 17th and most recent, “Before This World”, out in 2015. The singer-songwriter's biggest hits include “Fire and Rain,” “You've Got a Friend” and “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).”

Tickets are $24. For information, call 570-325-0249 or visit mcohjt.com.
