Korea’s top celebrities, who were close to the late designer Andre Kim, had evaluated him as having the Midas touch in the fashion and entertainment industry. The following are excerpts from an SBS interview program aired in 2009.

“I was on his show right after my debut. At that time, being a main model in Andre Kim’s show meant a guaranteed future and glory. I guess I started to be treated like a star after his show.”

“When I was wearing his designs, some people even asked if I was a member of the Korean royal family. When I had his clothes on abroad, it was advantageous for me.”

“In the airport, some asked me who designed the clothes, and I would proudly say it was Andre Kim, the world-renowned designer.”
