Long ago a trio of provocative, vocally talented and empowering female singers known as Destiny’s Child came to power and poise with singles like “Independent Woman” and “Survivor,” telling women to stand up and dominate.
It was a promising time for the girls who looked up to them and the careers these three young women were forging for themselves. In the midst of such a prosperous grouping there was a clear leader; Beyoncé Knowles. Having the most successful solo launch of the three landed her in the spotlight for many years to come, since then numerous hit singles have established Beyoncé as the vanguard of R&B within the pop music landscape.

We've never seen Kelly Rowland look so tough, and that's counting Destiny's Child's "Survivor" video... Apparently the singer is taking her new role as an X Factor judge very seriously. She's got her game face on, and she's rocking some bold, jungle animal print so we know she means business! While we appreciate the "How Deep Is Your Love" singer stepping out in trendy black-and-white, she's way too covered up for our liking! We know there are some ripped arms and a tone chest hiding behind those long sleeves and that high-necked top. We get that it's her first day of work on the big, new gig, but you don't get a second chance to make a first...

It's no secret that Kelly Rowland's single "Dirty Laundry" was all about her jealousy toward Beyonce's solo success, but it also turns out the title works perfectly for Beyonce's most annoying trait.
During an appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen Thursday night, Kelly was asked to tell "one thing that was annoying about Beyonce," to which she revealed that her former Destiny's Child bandmate is, simply put, "a slob." It was said with a giggle before the 32-year-old artist explained a bit further. "If you walk in -- maybe she's gotten better since becoming a mother -- but she's got a lot on her brain. You can tell she's got a lot going on."
At least Kelly came out of Beyonce's messy ways a "Survivor," and the two remain friends despite her filthy flaw.

Kelly Rowland has dropped a new single, titled "Dirty Laundry," off her upcoming solo album "Talk a Good Game." The lyrics of the song are an honest retelling of some hard times the singer went through, dealing with jealousy of her fellow Destiny's Child singer Beyonce and a man she was in an abusive relationship with.
Here are a few of the lyrics:
Let's do this dirty laundry, this dirty laundry
Let's do this dirty laundry, this dirty laundry
When you soak in tears for years it never airs out
When you make pain look this good it never wears out

When Destiny's Child reunited during the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, one of the group's original members was watching from home.
Celebuzz caught up with former Destiny's Child member Latavia Roberson to hear her thoughts on Beyonce's Halftime Show and the reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
“Obviously, seeing Beyonce perform was the highlight for me,” the 31-year-old told Celebuzz. “I got a real surprise when both Kelly [Rowland] and Michelle [Williams] both popped-up on the stage like that.”
Continuing, “I thought they all looked great and did a good job with their dance moves. Beyonce was especially amazing. She looked fabulous and her voice was really strong. During the performance somebody texted me to say they could not hear Kelly and Michelle sing. It was so noisy in the house where we watched the performance that I did not really notice anything wrong. But who knows? They probably had some technical problems.

Despite the fact that everyone hates Beyonce Knowles for killing all those kittens earlier this week (or something clearly just as horrible), she's still set to grace the biggest stage in the world when she leads the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 3rd (preceeding an unprecedented HBO doc that will chronicle the craziest pop pregnancy in world history). "Bills, Bills, Bills," "Survivor," and new single "Nuclear" will herald the temporary Destiny's Child reunion, while Bey will breast-pop through "Crazy In Love" like only she can, presumably with Jay in tow.
So what could does the world's brassiest feminist performing at the biggest sausage-fest in the world look like with a full set list? Let's navigate all the potential awkwardness with seven of Beyonce's biggest lady anthems up...

Alert the lip-syncing police: Beyonce's alleged Super Bowl set list with Destiny's Child has been revealed, and if an Us Weekly insider is to be believed, it includes the group's past hits "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Survivor" plus one new track, called "Nuclear." Beyonce will also sing her solo song "Crazy in Love" during the Feb. 3 halftime show in Orleans, the magazine reports. A rep for the 31-year-old superstar, who's reuniting with former Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for the television super-event, did not immediately respond to THR's request for comment. Time to move on from Beyoncé's maybe-lip-synced national anthem performance at the inauguration. It's all about the Super Bowl halftime show now! The trio will reportedly reassemble halfway through Bey's performance and launch into a medley of their biggest hits. A source tells Us Weekly that Bey plans to kick off her show with "Crazy in Love." Midway through the act, Michelle and Kelly will supposedly join her, starting with "Bills, Bills, Bills," "Survivor" and ending with...

Look, we're less than a month into 2013. If you're already experiencing symptoms of Tmb (Too Much Beyoncé), you need a new strategy that involves avoiding screens and speakers, because she's got an inauguration behind her (maybe you heard?), an HBO documentary ahead, a fifth album to drop, a Hova-husband (still), maybe another superbaby to birth (never say never), and a Super Bowl performance to rock. So deal with it. As for that Super Bowl set list, she's reportedly planning to perform "Crazy in Love" and some still-secret solo songs, followed by the Destiny's Child reunion portion featuring "Bills, Bills, Bills," "Survivor," and the new jam "Nuclear." Of course now that Bey knows we know, she's probably starting all over. And hopefully planning an amazing wink at the whole lip-synching thing.

In a little over a week, Beyonce will make another very public appearance when she headlines the half-time show at Super Bowl Xlvii on Feb. 3. Us Weekly is reporting that she’ll open her set with “Crazy In Love” and then halfway through will be joined by her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a medley including “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Survivor” and new track, “Nuclear.” Hmmm. She’ll likely have time to throw in a few other numbers and while the Destiny’s Child songs sound plausible, we’re rather hear “Say My Name” and “Bootylicious.” As far as other Beyonce...

The Destiny’s Child news keeps on coming! Beyoncé and Co.’s first new song in eight years, ‘Nuclear,’ has hit the Internet — listen to it here!
Who knew that January of 2013 would be the month of Destiny’s Child? Just one day after the announcement that the fabulous trio — Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams — were reuniting to release a compilation album entitled Love Songs at the end of the month, the disc’s lone new track, “Nuclear,” made its way online on Jan. 11!
“Nuclear” may not live up to its fiery title, but it is a gorgeous, slow-burning R&B track that is very fitting with Love Songs‘ ballad theme. The new song was produced by Pharrell and was co-written by Michelle, 32, herself! It’s slinky, sexy, and totally bedroom-ready.

There are only seven contenders left in The Glee Project now, so the competition is really heating up! Everyone's talking about how they want it more than anyone else, like Shanna: "There are only six more people I've got to beat to win!" You can't say she isn't blunt. But to get one step closer to that arc on Glee, the hopefuls are going to have to do well this week - and Robert's here to reveal the theme. It's "tenacity"! He thinks they already know a lot about it considering they've got this far and all, so he doesn't waste time in giving out the homework assignment. It's 'Survivor' by Destiny's Child - what a tune! Homework performance After a bit of "jamming" and lots of talk about how everyone thinks they know what tenacity is, it's time to show off in front of Robert and (more...

Plus, Amber Riley pays a visit during 'Tenacity' week and the contestants are plagued by Ali's inability to dunk a basketball! On the July 24 episode of The Glee Project, contestants were pushed to their limits as their music video was to be completed -- all in one shot! The seven remaining contestants were introduced to the theme of tenacity by getting Destiny's Child's 'Survivor' as their homework assignment! (Isn't it about time we get a Destiny's Child reunion in the works?) Amber Riley served as guest mentor and picked Ali as the winner of this week's assignment. This makes two for two for Ali. She also won during last week's theme of theatricality. Following their homework assignment, the contestants were instructed they would be shooting a music video for 'Eye of the Tiger' by Survivor. However, the catch would be that the entire group would...

When Beyoncé is not singing and performing on stage, or being a wife and mother at home, she keeps herself occupied proving to her fans just how much she appreciates them.
The latest open letter from Queen Bey to appear on her website is to a fan that she met back in 2007. Timmy Kelly, then 13, had left an impression on Bey, having been born blind and suffering from Cerebral Palsy. He just graduated from high school and Beyoncé wrote the heartfelt letter below to say congratulations, and to encourage all of her fans “that anything is possible if you work hard and believe in yourself.”
This kind of gesture is nothing new from Beyoncé – throughout her career she has been known to show her love for fans having a particularly hard time. After she got wind that a young Australian fan named Chelsea-Lee’s had been diagnosed with cancer,...

Glee Sneak Peek: The Troubletones Perform I Will Survive/Survivor at Sectionals
As is customary on Glee, the midseason finale on December 6 will feature a glee club competition: Sectionals. But unlike the last two years, there are some additional roadblocks this time around.
First of all, the glee club is no longer united. Santana, Mercedes and Brittany have broken off into a separate group called the Troubletones. And the Troubletones are quite good. Sure, they're not a powerhouse like Vocal Adrenaline was, but they're some pretty stiff competition.
Another big problem is that Rachel has been barred from singing in Sectionals because she tried to rig the student election so that Kurt could win. After confessing what she did to stop Kurt from getting suspended, Principal Figgins prohibited her from competing. Sure, the glee club has Blaine now, but without Rachel - and three other ladies - they're kind of short-staffed.

The first half of Thursday night’s installment of The X Factor felt a little like one of those soul-crushing “endurance challenges” you see on Survivor or The Amazing Race: “How badly do you want to bear witness to the birth of the next great singing sensation, America? The big prize will only go to those of you strong enough to sit through 50 solid minutes of being thwacked about the stomach and face with a musical two-by-four!”
Was it worth it? The jury is still out, but as one of its members, I’m feeling a little restless, perhaps even mutinous,...

Beyonce Knowles owned the night on the first day of her "4 Intimate Nights" concert series at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. Dazzling in a glittery mini-dress, she greeted the crowd by saying "I just want to have a good time with y'all." She then opened the gig with Jackson Five's "I Wanna Be Where You Are".
The wife of Jay-z proceeded to performing a variety of her hits with Destiny's Child. She sang such singles as "Say My Name", "Independent Women" as well as "Survivor", and also delivered "Bootylicious". "I'm gonna write a song that celebrates a woman's curves," she said before charging into the 2001 song.
The next set was live performances of Beyonce's solo singles. Before digging into her first solo album "Dangerously in Love", she recalled the label's reluctance to support her. "They told me I didn't have one single on my album. Yep," she shared.

There's been a lot of talk about Beyonce's new album '4' which hit stores this Tuesday.
But the right kind of talk, that's a different story. The album sales have been disappointing, but the label's official statement is they 'feel vindicated' about the record and its sales, saying that "early indications are that the album will debut at No. 1 in as many as 14 countries, including the U.S., and in the Top 3 worldwide."
With a stunning Glastonbury performance under her belt, harkening back to the 'Survivor' days, Beyonce's popularity seems unshakable. However, with the albums luke-warm reviews and no adrenaline-pumping single to speak of, the fear remains: Will '4' peak--and fall--fast?...

Back before Bravo became the "go to" network for botoxed housewives, the channel was best known for being the home of quality competitive reality programming (well, at least a lot of the time). That, of course, included Project Runway, one of the premiere reality series on U. S. television, as well as Top Chef, the show that finally managed to unseat The Amazing Race as the reigning Emmy reality show champion.
While Bravo still seems intent on putting a Housewives franchise in every state in America, the network hasn't given up on the competitive reality genre, having just this week launched Platinum Hit, a competitive songwriting show featuring Jewel and Kara DioGuardi as judges.
So is Platinum Hit Bravo's next Work of Art, the surprisingly engaging show about artists that was a surprise hit last summer? Or is it more the awful Project Runway rip-off The Fashion Show? (For the purposes of this article,...
