Here's how you can succeed in the jewellery industry without any prior experience
If you’re someone who sketches jewellery designs on paper and feels it could have been better, you are not alone. Many of us are inclined towards jewellery designing but haven’t taken up formal training. The nine-week Jewelry Design Certificate Program by Gemological Institute of America® (GIA®) is precisely curated to teach you the creative and technical abilities necessary to launch a career as a jewellery designer.
By course completion, you will be able to translate your ideas into rendered sketches and illustrations. The course helps students develop a practical understanding of jewellery creation with the aid of jewellery design theory. The skills taught include illustrating the design shape, form, texture of metals along with rendering yellow and white metals, and how to work with a variety of faceted and cabochon gemstones, pearls, and more.
