Here Are the 2019 Grammy Winners

With appearances from Childish Gambino, Cardi B, and Kacey Musgraves.
Kacey Musgraves accepting Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammys
Kevin Winter

Even if there weren't that many awards given out during the actual ceremony, the 2019 Grammys were a hell of a ride—confounding, delightful, and indulgent, this year's show had everything—except for, you know, that many actual awards.

Given that the Grammys has moved towards giving the majority of its awards out before the actual ceremony starts, it's easy to miss when a given year makes history—like, say, for example, when "This Is America" becomes the first rap song ever to win Record of the Year. Or when Cardi B became the first female solo artist to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album.

And what about the big upsets in the dozens of categories that aren't aired? Did you know, for example, a Steve Jobs opera won Best Opera? Did you know there even was a Steve Jobs Opera? Now you do! This is why lists are important.
