We cannot emphasize enough the importance of having proper winter protection at all time especially during winter season like this. If your local night temperature falls below 45F you will need to protect your plant(s) with heat pack. Heatpack will work properly only when the package is properly insulated. When you purchase a heatpack we will will ship your plant in a fully insulated foam box for proper temperature retention as generated by the heatpack. For large items such as upright cactus 2 - 3 heatpack may be needed. When your region is under severe winter weather below freezing, we will hold off and delay the shipping to a more appropriate weather and reschedule your shipment. We will not be able to cover your purchase due to death on arrival (DOA) due to cold in absence of proper winter protection as that have occurred in the past. We thank you for your understanding.
Cereus Peruvian Spiralis is a family of the Cereus cactus group. The most popular and well known group in the family is the Apple Cereus Cactus that doesn't spiral. The spiral form of the Cereus is very beautiful. Single grown Cereus Spirals is not only majestic but also breath taking when the columnar pillar erect gracefully to soaring height.
When purchasing these spirals, make sure you are selecting specimen that will give you consistent spirals as so many of the other similar specimens being offered out in the market is not so good due to both genetics and cultivation method. A lot of them has lack luster performance and is often time unattractive lacking the the spiral patterns needed that makes them look attractive. Those that doesn't have consistent spiral are a result of cross hybridization with something other non spiral cereus family as they tend to cross breed easily. Vegetable propagation will not improve the current quality / appearance of the parent specimens.
Cereus Peruvian Spiralis can grown to massive height that are tall and also wide. A very well grown specimen can progressively expand progressively to 10" or more in with. In order for the Cereus Spiralis grown beautiful cohesive uninterrupted spiral, provide full sun and airy space to maximize its potential.
Cereus Peruvian Spiralis is part of the Cereus family, and it will pollinate with any cactus within the Cereus cactus group, forming bright red fruit that will attract birds.

Spiral cactus is a rare attractive cactus with numerous columnar stems. The stems are spiral-growing with short spines. When fully matured, it blooms profusely during summer much like the apple cereus cactus. White flowers with red fruits.

Plant will be packed carefully in a custom box made to adequately fit the specimen, that we can ensure specimen is not damaged during shipment.
