Reviews
- This album was the soundtrack to our first European trip(6 people in a Wv transporter)for 4 weeks,oh magical days
- One of the greatest records of the 80s w/ its bouncy synth, driving arena-like rhythms, aching vocals, soaring saxophone fills & occasional over-the-top guitar solos, strong songcraft, oblique lyrics, incredible production creating pop perfection. Get lost in the epic grandeur of this truly fantastic music.
An impressive accomplishment. - It's a little noisy, but considering that I bought this for about 20ish CAD from a seller in the UK and it had to get shipped across the Atlantic, I think it sounds great. I really love this album and I don't mind the noise since it's not overly intrusive, and is mostly gone by the time I'm about halfway through A1.
- I have a few copies of this version but one has the Gold record company stamp “ Promotional copy not for resale”
- This is the copy I have, the U.K. first pressing, it sounds much much better than US or EU copies I’ve heard.
- Compared this to an original US Mercury pressing. I found the UK to have more top end, and slightly more recessed vocals. I found the US to be better balanced, solid bass and mids presence with a good amount treble and detail. The US sounds better on my system.
- Edited one year ago(I no longer own this, as it was stolen from me.)
Very thin record here, so I'm not surprised that Side A sounds muffled towards the end of it. Side B however sounded surprisingly great throughout the whole thing! - Tears For Fears - Songs From The Big Chair

Tears for Fears are an English pop rock band formed in Bath, England, in 1981 by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. Founded after the dissolution of their first band, the mod-influenced Graduate, Tears for Fears were initially associated with the new wave synthesizer bands of the early 1980s. Later, the band branched out into more mainstream pop and attained international chart success. Tears for Fears were part of the MTV-driven Second British Invasion of the US.

Songs From The Big Chair has some pretty good songs such as 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' and 'Shout' which definitely make the album better. It does fall short on the other songs though in my opinion. It isnt a bad album by any means and the songs I mentioned are definitely worth a listen but, like many albums out there, it wouldnt be my first choice.

Album Score: 6.5/10 - wonderful album all songs great but i find it a pity they put the live version on it ,
before the last number . itdoesn,t fit.
