Growth Habits: 4 feet tall (1.2 m), 2.4 inches (6 cm) in diameter; 7 to 9 ribs; 1 to 3 central spines, to 1.2 inches (3 cm) long; 10 to 11 radial spines, 0.28 to 0.8 inch (0.7 to 2 cm) long;

Blooming Habits:
Red flowers 2 inches long (5 cm), 2.4 inches wide (6 cm); spiny fruit, 1.6 to 3.2 inches (4 to 8 cm) in diameter; seeds black
