Narrow columnar cactus from Brazil. Grows slowly to 2m high, offsetting from the base. Flowers freely with hot pink waxy flowers emerging from a pseudocephalium (bristly zone at stem tip). Indoors only in bright position.

4.Indoors OK, Outdoors OK only if protected from winter rain.

Almost fluorescent flowers always delight.

Note flowers from older cephalium almost hidden in the node.

Stripped down to show the cholla wood within. Very strong skeleton wood.
