50 Frank Sinatra Quotes Every Man Can Live By

Frank Sinatra would have turned 100 this year. Born on 12 December 1915, Francis Albert ‘Frank’ Sinatra was – and still is – a beacon of masculinity, an Oscar winning actor (for From Here To Eternity in 1953) and remains of the biggest-selling artists of all time, some 17-years since his death.

From his legendary solo work and Vegas residencies to the infinite classics of the hard-drinking, high-stakes gambling and oversexed Rat Pack era, Sinatra – aka The Voice, Sultan of Swoon, The Chairman of the Board and, of course, Ol’ Blue Eyes – is a man who excelled in just about anything he turned his hand to. Even better, to quote the man himself, “I did it my way.”

Amidst the liquor, the many (many, many) women and gently crooned tunes, Sinatra was also something of a philosopher. So pray silence please, and behold the gospel according to St. Frank. Oh, and remember: The Best Is Yet To Come.

6. “A man doesn't know what happiness is until he's married. By then it's too late.”

Religion

12. “I'm for decency – period. I'm for anything and everything that bodes love and consideration for my fellow man. But when lip service to some mysterious deity permits bestiality on Wednesday and absolution on Sunday – count me out.”

15. “I believe in you and me. I'm like Albert Schweitzer and Bertrand Russell and Albert Einstein in that I have a respect for life – in any form. I believe in nature, in the birds, the sea, the sky, in everything I can see or that there is real evidence for. If these things are what you mean by God, then I believe in God. But I don't believe in a personal God to whom I look for comfort or for a natural on the next roll of the dice.”
