The beautiful sunset above Orlando, Florida soon became covered with clouds and began to rain as a young man stood near a window in the ICU unit of Orlando General Hospital. At closer look, a person could tell that he was Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys. The reason he was crying is that his girlfriend of 4 years, Alexandra "Lexi" McLean, was badly hurt during a car accident that afternoon and just moments ago, he had to watch as the doctors pulled her life support. Brian stood there and only one thing came to his mind. Brian softly began to sing to himself.

A few blocks down the road riding a bus back to the hospital to be with Brian was AJ McLean, who was Lexi's twin brother, after taking their mother back home, so she could sleep for a while. AJ looked out the rain-streaked window before looking down at the picture he held in his hand. The picture was Lexi's senior portrait and she was smiling at him as if she was there with him. AJ let a tear fall as he softly sang to himself.
The bus finally pulls up to the hospital. As AJ walks into the hospital and Brian toward the waiting room, where he was supposed to meet AJ, both begin to sing.
About 2 miles down the road in a two-story house, the light of a television set is the only thing that can be seen. On further investigation, Kevin Richardson is sitting on his living room floor watching videos of the guys' tours with Lexi. She loved being on tour with them and having the time of her life. The TV was muted but Kevin's soft voice could be heard.
Near the hospital is a little park, where a young man can be seen walking slowly in the rain towards the hospital. On closer look, a person could tell that it was Nick Carter, the youngest member of the Backstreet Boys. Lexi had always been the older sister that Nick loved to be with and the best friend that he never wanted to lose but had. As he walked, Nick was also softly singing.
Nick slowly enters the hospital as Kevin leaves his home after receiving his call from AJ that he was needed and to bring Howie with him. The two of them were still softly singing.
Howie sat at the bar of the little cafe where he used to meet Lexi for their morning coffee and talk. Howie loved Lexi as a little sister and was always proud of her and her dreams. But now her dreams had been stolen right out from under her. Howie sat there drinking from his cup of coffee as he softly sang to himself.
About 15 minutes later, all five of the guys were sitting in the hospital waiting room comforting each other before each guy's mind began to sing softly.

Almost a year later at the guys' last tour date, the last song is a song that the guys decide to dedicate to Lexi. The five guys are sitting on the stage as the crowd becomes very quite for them. AJ cleared his throat before softly beginning to speak.
"Most of you know that a year ago this week, my twin sister, Alexandra Nicole McLean, was killed in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. For Lexi, the guys and I have decided to do a special song for her as our last song," AJ said to them as a tear slide down his cheek.
"As most of you know, Lexi was my girlfriend of 2 years," Brian said to the crowd. "Tonight, the guys and I are gonna sing one of Lexi's favorite songs by a group that inspired both Lexi and us guys. The song that we are gonna sing for you is 'One Sweet Day' by Boys II Men and Mariah Carey."

The last voice that could be heard in the whole concert hall was Lexi's voice saying, "Thanks, guys. I will always love you and I will always be there for you, guys, for now until that sweet day that we meet again."
