"give into paradise / into pardise..."
I am old school (cough) or more to the point old and experienced those possible inspirations first time around and current bands absorbing the frenetic, progressive art pop / proto punk aesthetic is both interesting and exciting.
From Liner Notes:
From German expressionism and the White Stripes till film noir and St.Vincent. Outspoken on one hand, completely abstract on the other.
Abstract is good, staying clear from current indie tropes is a great thing, staying somewhat clear from previous tropes is a great thing, fusing ones own clearly specific artistry with previous concepts is a fantastic thing. I like what I am hearing. I am pogoing violently.
F.N.A.S.P. is the second single by new Dutch art pop band Oh Hazar. The track is out October 27th and accompanied by a video clip made with artificial intelligence. The song addresses the paradox of social media, that commercializes our desire for intimacy at the expense of privacy. F.N.A.S.P. is part of the upcoming debut EP Clair Obscur that contains an addictive musical trip of alternative art pop, indie rock and postpunk. The songs are produced by Simon Akkermans (My Baby, New Cool Collective, Pip Blom).
