I love the musice from 60's, 70's, 80's better than the 90 and so far in th 20's. The quality of the singers voices were pleasing. The music was relaxing. today they are screechy, yelling can not understand some of the words unless you have a printed copy of the lyrics. It is not a peacful type of music that you hear on most stations, or to purchase. the religious music is not reverant, it is mainly not what you would worship God with. I ordered so I could enjoy hours of background music that is plesant to listen to!
This collection comes pretty close to hitting the mark. It seems that the record companies always miss one or two gems while including others you don't care to hear. Songs from the forties that were overlooked here are not missed as far as I'm concerned. And there are only one or two in this set that I would have dropped. So, as Goldilock's said, this is "just right." Unless you're a super Como fan, I'd recommend against going for one of the very large sets. Most of what he did best is right here.
This is great music. Cheerful, happy, mellow, soulful. I bought it for my 91yo mother and I've already borrowed it to listen myself. I remember watching the Perry Como show when I was little and have always been a fan. Now my youngest niece heard it and has declared she likes Perry Como too. Like good old fashioned rock and roll, this music is wonderful and timeless.
I was so thrilled when I received this CD of Perry Como hits. It was even better than I thought it would be....and the service was great. Imagine...I'm falling in love with Perry Como all over again!! The quality of the product was exactly as described...would definitely order from this supplier again.
I originally bought this for my mother for Mother's Day gift and ended up borrowing it so I could make a copy. Catchy tunes that get stuck in your head--none you want to skip over. My mother was very pleased with the gift and so was I.
I love his fast beat tunes. just a clear, relaxing, distinct voice. plus, just a simple man. doesn't seemed to have an ego like some of the singers in this crooner age group.
