Editorial Reviews

When this title song became a big hit in 1958, this band was a "ghost band." Dorsey died in '56, and Warren Covington was the new front man leading the way on the slide trombone. The whole album picks up on the Latin American dance craze that was sweeping the nation. The arrangements were made by Irving Caesar and Vincent Youman's.

Quality Musicians of the past

I remember listening to this music when I was a little girl and my parents played the original vinyl. This CD has 24 songs, so one has plenty to enjoy of feeling-good-music. The two Tea for Two versions make you want to get up and dance!

Here are two great albums rescued from the world of scratchy vinyl. You may want to have a breather after listening or dancing to the first album as too many cha chas can become tiresome. Or, you could program your favorite tracks from both albums, a feature you can`t do with vinyl. Vinyl takes up a lot of space, can smell moldy (espicially from used copies) and is quite heavy if you have a large collection to move. I have the hernias to prove it. Vinyl, you can have it. THANK YOU Sepia!

Classic Latin Chachas start to finish. Recorded using the latest technology of the era and it shows! Condition of vinyl was mediocre.

This is the greatest version of "Tea For Two" Cha Cha. If you want great music to dance the Cha Cha, this is it. It is the Big Band Sound and really makes you want to get your "booty" up and dance (and have a lot of fun). Ha! Ha! Buy it and have a lot of fun shaking your "Booty".

A few great songs but sadly not as great on the whole as I had hoped. Every tune is played well, but one can have too much of this style. I suspect that my memory of the original tune could not possibily extent to the whole album. To find out the effect of the original tune, go to my website [...] and read the story 'Going to the Pictures' - here you will read WHY I recall the title tune so much - and perhaps smile a little.

I was unsuccessful trying to copy my LP from my turn-table to my computer to then burn it to a CD.

Found out that Amazon Cloud had the music. Was able to download the music from Amazon Cloud and burn a CD with no problems. Quality is great.

Sans doute cela chante-t-il parfois (I want to be happy, Together 1-2-3, Trumpet Cha cha cha).

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of Tea for two cha cha

This CD was purchased as dance music not as listening music. As such it fully meets my expectations. I will be using several tracks from the CD to teach Cha Cha line dances.
