I have a friend who thinks that Billy Joel is full of crap. I never believed that and this recording is just wonderful and proves how wrong this friend of mine is. I had the chance to see him as the 2nd bill for the Beach Boys many, many, many years ago during the "Piano Man" tour. I have been a fan since then and have seen him live many times after that. This is a 10 out of 10 for me. The Super Audio version sounds great too.......

So, here is a real question: I have the ORIGINAL 2001 ISSUE of the INNOCENT MAN SACD - (2 CH ONLY) - the "NEW" version on pre-order is another 30 bucks and is also a 2013 "SACD" - do we even know if it's changed from the original issue in any way - if Amazon continues to sell the ever increasingly rare SACD's - they MUST demand product knowledge if they want one of their little chopper Amazon Drones to drop this new SACD on me - the have to get thier story straight!

It's a special order, but I love the track listing so I had to buy it. And it's hard for me to say how this Stereo-only Super Audio CD compares to the CD because I dont own it. It's good, tho I just didnt feel blown away like I have been with my other SACD experiences eg. Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Maybe it's because it was produced in 1998 and they hadn't perfected it back then. Dont get me wrong, "For the Longest Time" shows how it's still better than CD, but only marginally compared to other transfers.
My advice may be to hold off on buying until they re-mix the SACD and add 5.1 surround mix.
