This GH album came out in 1982, as the album "Chicago 16" was climbing the charts. It's sole purpose was to include songs up through 1980, which is when XIV came out. Another reviewer stated that they would have liked to see other songs on here, but the songs that person listed came out after 1982!!

Not a bad collection - sure, most Chicago fans have these already but I like the ones that were selected for this, and it's better than some other GH collections of theirs. Of course, Chicago has too many GH by now, but it's neat in this case (and the similar 1985 TMBTC GH Mix) since the old CD was always hard to find as well, then out of print, and now it's a fresh copy.

I was interested to hear the new edit on Does Anybody Really know what time it is. Cut down yet again, even more than the 2002 Only the Beginning double CD version which was also slightly cut! Weird, but it works.

My problem is the inclusion of the song they picked from XIV: Song For You.
Not a good pick at all from XIV, which I still think is a better than average album with some great songs (and yes, major duds). But XIV has always been underrated ever since it first came out.

Upon Arrival, Where Did the Lovin Go, Hold On, Overnight Café - all superior to anything else off of XIV, since Thunder and Lightning is in it's own category being the main single off that album. Hold On is probably one of the best Chicago songs out there that many people don't know about.

This one shares three songs from Chicago XV, Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 - but the other songs on this one make it better. And No Tell Lover does not need to be included on any collection anymore! Again, just like questionable inclusions from XIV in 1980, Hot Streets from 1978 has other songs that were better than No Tell Lover. Why not include "Little Miss Lovin" complete with a Bee Gees cameo? Or Ain't it Time, which helped heal the loss of Kath and has lyrics that touch on the subject?
