DESTIN, Fla. -- The No Name boat brought a massive -- and possible record-setting -- bluefin tuna back to the Destin Harbor this past Sunday.

The No Name boat set out on a marlin trip last Friday from the Destin Harbor. They navigated over 160 miles before catching the fish on Saturday.

The bluefin tuna weighed in at the Destin Harbor Boardwalk at 832.2 lbs. on Sunday.

The boat consisted of Captain Jake Matney, as well as deck mates Devin Sarver and Jett Tolbert. Jennifer Matney, Jeremiah Matney and Jacob Matney were also on the boat.

“Fishing has always been a way of life for my family and something that we love to do together," Captain Matney said. "I’m very fortunate to have them on the boat for this and to have this caliber of fisherman on my team.”

The current bluefin tuna state record approved by the FWC is 826.8 lbs. in 2017. The fish was also caught off the Destin coast.

“To be a part of this with such an incredible team of people is truly a blessing. I will think about this as long as I’m kicking and smile from ear to ear," Devin Sarver said. "My parents had a rod in my hand, fishing off the dock, before I could walk (so they tell me). This is what dreams are made of. I love this way of life. GOD is great! Still seems surreal. Epic!”

“We were Stoked to finally land one that we could bring in and hang up," Jett Tolber said. "It’s harder than people think. Last trip we fought one for 10 hours and it broke off. So bringing in this one meant a lot to me. I love fishing and am thankful for an awesome boss. I plan to travel the world and fish my whole life, it’s my passion.”

Channel 3 will have more on this tonight at 4, 5, and 6.
