It is by far the most convenient to use the Takeshita exit of Harajuku Station (JR Yamanote Line), but you can also go to Meiji Jingu-mae Station (Metro Chiyoda Line / Metro Fukutoshin Line). In that case, exit 3 or exit 5 will be the closest.

I think this is a very attractive street for people who are interested in fashion and those who are interested in other people’s fashion.

Also, since it is becoming a tourist destination, there are apparel shops that are similar to souvenir shops.
