Vengamamba was a great devotee of Lord Venkateswara… She belong to
Tarigonda village in Chittoor district. She was born in 1750 to the
couple of Sri Kaanala Krishnaiah and Sri Mangamamba. Vengamamba parents
did her marriage with Injeti Venkatachalapathi without her interest.
with in a very short time her husband got expired. From chaild hood she
was the devotee of Sri Narasimha swami.. She came to Tirumala and initially
she started deep meditation at Gogarbha Teertham but as flow of people
became heavy  she then shifted to Tumbura Teertham  and there she started
her meditation.. After some days people visited that place too so then she
shifted to Tirumala. She assumed Sri Srinivasa as Narasimha Moorthy and
she used to conduct Annadaanam Programme on Narasimha Jayanthi.. She used
to collect flowers and make them as a garland and present it to lord
venkateswara.. she established 3 gardens at Tirumala. It was said that The Prasadam dishes that vengamamba prepared were very precious to lord venkateswara. The Harathi named muthyala Harathi was done by Vengamamba for fist time andnow also that harathi will be done in Ekantha seva in the name of Vengamambashe got expired in 1817. Her tomb is very near to venkateswara swami temple
