    Growth Characteristics:  Very large branching Cactus. Pale bluish-green in colour with 5-8 shallow ribs. Straight, heavy spines line the ribs in tightly spaced areoles. Short funnel shaped flowers, pale green -white in colour. Easy to grow. Slow growing. Drought tolerant.

    Sun: Full sun.

    Exposure: Sheltered.

    Soil: Well drained soil. Gritty.

    Moisture: Water more in summer and during growing period. Allow to dry between waterings. Keep dry in winter.

    Isolatocereus Dumortieri Cacti. Candelabra Cactus.
    The Isolatocereus Dumortieri Cactus is a large tree-like branching variety of cacti. Pale bluish-green, well defined woody trunks have shallow ribs usually between 5-8 on stems upto 6 inches in diameter. Areoles are tightly spaced on the ribs, each containing 1-4 central spines and 6-9 radials which grow darker with age.

    Short funnel shaped flowers are pale green-white in colour and are nocturnal but do remain open into the next day. Small un-armed oval shaped reddish coloured fruits follow
