Girls! Girls! Girls! -“Veronica”- Elvis Costello. Elvis Costello is another one of those artists- like a Neil Young or a Bob Dylan- an album oriented artist-not a singles artist. Elvis has had only two Top 40 hits in the United States- “Veronica” being his biggest hit #19 in 1989 off of his Spike album. This was during the period where he sat down and wrote some songs with a fella called Paul McCartney- some of the songs ended up on Paul’s Flowers In The Dirt album. “Veronica” was a song Elvis and Paul collaborated on. The inspiration for the song- was Elvis’s grandmother who was suffering from Alzheimer’s.
See a pattern here Hans. I like girls.
