KEY FUNCTIONALITIES OF THE MACROSOLID ADD-IN 

 MacroSolid Standard

PROPERTIES allows you to define, delete and replace both custom and configuration-specific properties in bulk. The macro has been equipped with a number of unique functions that automate assigning properties. QuickProperties - Properties macro with the ability to quickly configure from the BOM tab, but limited to seven properties. You can set and run QuickProperties on the entire BOM table or on selected rows.

CutListProperties is used to supplement the properties of cut elements of welded structures in bulk.

QUICK making of a technological operation / treatment / process / machine in the properties from the BOM table.

Colors allows you to color parts and/or faces with a predefined color or appearance while defining information in the file properties.

Draw creates 2D drawings / SLDDRW documents for parts, sheets, structures and assemblies, starting from the selected DRWDOT template. 

SheetFormat allows you to replace 2D drawing sheets depending on the format of the active sheet and the type of component. 

DRW->PDF/DXF is a generator of PDF and DXF or DWG files from 2D drawings. 

Print prepares and launches the process of printing 2D drawings. The macro recognizes the format of the drawing sheet and on this basis selects the printer, paper type and tray assigned to it. 

DXF is a generator of DXF files from unfolding operations, i.e., parts modeled with tools from the "Sheet Metal" tab. The macro allows you to plan both the name of the generated file and the destination of the save, sorting into subdirectories by material, sheet thickness and information whether the sheet has bends or not.

SaveAs is the bulk generation of files in the selected format. At the same time, four different file formats with a scheduled name can be generated from one macro setting and for each of them define the target save location.

ExcelBOM, ExcelBOM2, ExcelBOM2 from VIEWS, ExcelBOM2 from tool tab BOM - macros to export the BOM to an MS Excel® file.

WordReport, WortReport2, WordReport2 from tool tab BOM - macros to export a BOM with a photo or barcode to an MS Word® file. 

CSV - functionality that allows you to generate a CSV file from the contents of the BOM table and information about the project saved in the ProjectInfo panel. 

Barcodes - barcode generator integrated with SOLIDWORKS®. The macro allows you to generate linear and 2D barcodes.

SortTree organizes the component structure in the SOLIDWOKRS® FeatureManager design tree. The macro allows you to delete and create assembly model folders, move parts and assemblies to them, depending on the value of the selected file property or depending on the path to the file. 

RunMacro is a tool to run SWP macros. 

PICis a component photo generator. 

UnitsSystem provides control over the measurement units defined in the models. 

ImageQualityallows you to control and define the image quality of documents by selecting values, specifying the maximum / minimum and by percentage of the slider position. 

PicControl - allows you to add graphics in bulk in the editing layer of the 2D drawing sheet of the project.

Engravingused to add engraving text to the face of a fixed metal sheets. 

SMProperties is used to check and change the bending radius R and the K factor in metal sheets models depending on the defined material and thickness.

PropFromExcel(license Properties) - information transfer functionality from MS Excel® file to file properties.

MyPackAndGO automates the process of saving the assembly with new file names planned by the user. The MyPackAndGO macro is a frontend to the built-in in SOLIDWORKS® "Pack and Go" functionality.

MyPackAndGo for files- functionality to transfer PDF, DXF, STEP files and others generated by DXF, DRW->PDF/DXF, SaveAs macros.

DRWReport2- macro to export a BOM with a photo or barcode to PDF file.

ClipboardBOM- functionality that allows you to save the entire or selected rows of the BOM table to the computer memory / clipboard. 

Combo - functionality that allows you to schedule and then launch key MacroSolid macros with one click.

SaveConfigAssaves each configuration to a separate file SLDPRT, STEP, x_t and IGES. 

TranslateFeatures is a macro that renames all FeatureManager tree items for part, assembly, and drawing documents byTranslateFeatures.xlsx.

ReplaceMaterial allows you to replace materials in part models according to the dependencies stored in theReplaceMaterials.xlsx.

OpenPath - functionality to launch WINDOWS® explorer at the location where the file is saved.

ExplodeOrSplitSheetssplits a tabbed drawing into separate 2D drawings as well as merging documentation into one SLDDRW file.

Mark as 'Toolbox file'and Unmark 'Toolbox file' - flags documents as Toolbox files 

RenameDocument - macro to rename the cut list file name and folder name directly from the FeatureManager tree. 

RemoveEquations - macro to delete all "Equations" of the active document. 

Convert to Sheet Metal Part – converting models to sheet metal parts. 

VIEWS- an interface that can be adapted to the task that automates the work. 

BOM Table - a table with the possibility of customization in terms of the number of columns, sorting and information displayed in it, independently for each of the VIEWS. 

BOM Filters - the ability to filter downloaded components by type, properties, name and other parameters, independently for each of the VIEWS. 

Marking in the BOM- the ability to automatically color BOM table cells to indicate potential problems to be solved, independently for each VIEW.

Hide in BOM - the ability to hide the components of the BOM table. 

Open, Save, Save As, Close - reading and saving the BOM table to an MS file. 

ProjectInfo - a sub-tab that allows you to define key information about the project, e.g. order number, name, description. 

Virtual Components ERP- components that have no reference to the geometry / model / file, e.g. tape, glue, paint, etc. 

Preview- the ability to quickly verify the generated PDF, DXF, PIC documentation. 

Open - functionalities that allow you to open a component from the BOM table, its drawing, PDF, DXF, STEP file.
