Eric Tsang can't stop singing praises of his son

12 Oct - Eric Tsang has yet to stop celebrating the fact that both he and his son are nominated at the Golden Horse Awards, as he appeared at an event looking as cheerful as he could be recently.

The actor, according to Oriental Daily, was all smiles as he explained that while he is happy with his nomination, he badly wants his son Derek Tsang to win Best Director for his directorial effort, "Soul Mate".

"It's better for him to win than me. I just told Tony [Leung ka Fai] that it doesn't matter to me anymore," he said.

Eric stated that while Derek has always dreamed about directing his own movie, he himself would rather his son work as an actor first so that Derek can learn a few tricks from other filmmakers.

When mentioned that Derek is interested in working with him in future projects, Eric responded, "Let's see if he would do that. Lately people have been congratulating me, but they also has been asking me if they would get a chance to work with my son. Derek has truly 'graduated'. I don't have to worry about him anymore."
