This weeks chat gets deep, emotional, joyful and funny! This week I'm chatting with one of my musical hero's, Singer Songwriter Luke Concannon from Nizlopi. Luke and his double bass playing/beat-boxing partner in crime, John Parker had a UK Number hit in 2005 with JCB Song, Luke talks candidly about how the press set them up as one-hit wonders in-spite of their obvious talent and huge wealth of incredible, thought provoking, socially conscious material. We chat about the impact their music had on me personally, some of the AMAZING support acts Nizlopi had over the years (Newton Faulkner, Foy Vance, ED SHEERAN, yeah you read that right!) Luke's subsequent solo career, the chances of putting the band back together, the best heckle he's ever received and he not only picks six classic tracks for his Mixtape, he even performs one of them for us. This week I'm joined by Reggae Royalty, Mr Al Anderson, Guitarist from Bob Marley & the Wailers. Al talks about his first job selling guitars in his hometown of Boston to bands like Aerosmith and Free, and he takes us on his journey from there to England where he first met Bob Marley and played on the Natty Dread album, to then moving to Jamaica with Bob and his family and becoming a Wailer.

Al also talks about how in his final days, Bob urged Al to continue on in the spirit of The Wailers and to keep the music they created together, alive.

Al had such an incredible story, we didn't quite get time to chose his Mixtape tracks, maybe next time!

They say you should never meet your heroes, this week I came to the conclusion that "they" don't know what they are talking about. This week's guest is a bona fide Blues Legend Walter Trout.

Walter has played with John Lee Hooker, Canned Heat and famously John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, where Walter was inspired to form his own band and began his solo career.
