Aka Hurricane cactus. Lepismium cruciforme, also known as the hurricane cactus, is a succulent epiphyte native to tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. It has long, fleshy stems that can grow up to 20 inches long and 1 inch wide, with triangular or square shapes and variable angles. The stems are covered with short white tufts of hair, and flowers bloom along the sides of the stems. The plant produces red, berry-like seed pods with pink flowers, and beadlike, purple-pink fruit.
