During her NFL Honors performance, Kelly Clarkson surprised us all with a brand new verse.

Kelly Clarkson is the undeniable queen of covers, but she may have just topped herself with a few temporary updates to one of her own tracks.

Ahead of the Super Bowl this Sunday, Feb. 12, the talk show host hit the stage last night, Feb. 9, as host and performer at this year's NFL Honors. When she finally broke into song, she took a few creative liberties with her hit "Since U Been Gone," roasting Tom Brady for his foray into thirst traps.

Draped in a Dallas Cowboys-themed gown, the first female host of the event ripped on the former quarterback through a new verse, which went, "Cuz now that he's gone, teams have hope for the first time, Brady's moving on, yeah, yeah. For the GOAT, that’s a wrap, now he just posts thirst traps, now that he's gone.”

Clarkson isn't the only one a bit put off by Brady's new business venture—his former teammate Rob Gronkowski had a piece of advice for the newfound model's poses.

Fans, on the other hand, were delighted by both Brady's photo and Clarkson's creative digs.

"Totally hilarious! Kudos to Kelly Clarkson," one wrote in response to the video clip shared by Sports Illustrated writer Jimmy Traina.

"Me looking at Brady’s thirst traps," another joked, including a "finger-licking good" video clip.

"It was something special last night at the #NFLHonors with Kelly Clarkson roasting Tom Brady..." another tweet read in part.

And while we may call the entertaining performance a highlight of the night, we also loved seeing Rebel Wilson fangirl over the Kelce brothers before the event was over!
