Mammillaria Melanocentra is a small cactus with a spherical short cylindrical, usually solitary stem with a slightly depressed Apex, Piramidal tubercles, and clusters of needle like spines radiating from an aerial located at the tip of each tubercle. The glaucus green stem grows up to 6.4 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter. In new growth the stem is green with large angled tubercles with woolly axles. Each aerial usually bears one, occasionally three central spines and 6-9 radial spines that emerge black but age to gray with a black tip. Flowers are pink up to 0.8 inches long, nearly equal in diameter, and usually appear in a ring on the upper third of the stem in spring.

If temperatures near you are below 45℉ we highly recommend adding a Heat Pack to your order. If temperatures where you live will be much lower than 20℉ even heat packs may not work. You may consider waiting until things warm up a bit. We know you love your plants just like we do and we wouldn't want any of them to freeze.
