I have been singing this tune all morning… Thought that I would share it with you.
Que Sera Sera
Dorris Day
When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here’s what she said to me.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
When I was young, I fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows, day after day
Here’s what my sweetheart said.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome, will I be rich
I tell them tenderly.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
I have always liked the Doris Day rendition, and the good tune and catchy words. The message struck me as pretty pathetic from the start, though!
It is catchy… unfortunately.
Beautiful song
Thanks Deb… it is special.
Oh great! Now I’ve got this song stuck in my head! :-p
PS: That pic would make an awesome shoulder tattoo …
Hahahaha… My evil plan has worked. 😉
I thought so too. I am in desperate need of going for my next tattoo… maybe in December?
At the beginning I thought the lyrics to the song were quite silly but it grew on me and I really enjoy it now
Good to hear Asian. 🙂
