MUSICAL THEATER

A NOTE FROM OUR CONSERVATORY DIRECTOR I have served as PMT Conservatory Director for over a month now. One of the things I have learned about this position is that the training that we offer has to be tested in performance. The Music Man JR. is a perfect example of how a group of students can get together to create an amazing experience for an audience in order to pass that test. However, to pass any test, a student must study. This is called the process. It’s not always fun. It’s sometimes boring. There are good days, and there are bad days. But, all the hard work makes the stage time so much more enjoyable. This extraordinary process has taught these students the valuable lessons of teamwork, patience, and responsibility. To the brilliant and energetic cast of The Music Man JR.: I am so proud of the work you have done. I am also proud of the artists and individuals you have grown to become. May you continue to grow throughout this process and maintain the experiences you have learned from, as well as the friendships you have come to cherish. To the audience: Sit back, relax, and enjoy the product of hard work, studying, and above all, fun!

YOUNG ARTIST PRODUCTION What is a Young Artist Production? The foundation of PMT’s mission is built on arts education, development, mentorship, and providing performance opportunities for young artists. Students at PMT Conservatory receive a truly unique experience to use their training in fully produced productions of their own in which they take on roles as performers and technical theater crew. Whether a student wishes to pursue a career in the arts or another field, Young Artist Productions provide an opportunity for growth and building transferable life skills in our future leaders. Patrons attending Young Artist Productions will be a part of it all as they experience and enjoy the best of our region’s talented youth in professional-quality entertainment!
