CONSERVING RESOURCES. IMPROVING

from the president

Welcome to the 22/23 Broadway season sponsored by CHI Health and our opening show AIN’T TOO PROUD –The Life and Times of the Temptations!

No wonder we think that the music of The Temptations has been part of our lives forever since this group has been together since 1960. In fact, one founding member, Otis Williams, is still performing with the group today.

I’ve always enjoyed The Temptations’ music and signature style, sound and choreography. However, I did not know their history and the challenges and changes they experienced over those years until I saw this show.

AIN’T TOO PROUD tells that part of the story – how ve incredibly talented men from Detroit de ed the odds. Through the bonds of brotherhood, family and trust – they survived and thrived through a time of tremendous upheaval in our country and made it all the way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

With an exceptionally large cast and outstanding choreography, AIN’T TOO PROUD was nominated for 12 Tony Awards™ and won for Best Choreography. Earlier this year, former cast member Jawan M. Jackson even won a coveted spot with the current Temptations, who are still on tour.

As we prepare to open our season, I want to add a special welcome to our new Broadway series sponsor CHI Health. We’re delighted they believe in our work, and we appreciate their support of O-pa.

So get ready – and enjoy the magic of the performers Billboard called “the greatest R&B group of all time!”

Thanks for joining us!
