Rene Krhin to Bologna, while Inter Sign Talented Paramatti

Promising Inter midfielder Rene Khrin has moved to Bologna in a co-ownership deal, it emerged last night, while Lorenzo Paramatti has moved the opposite way, with Inter buying the Italian youngster outright.

Khrin has decided to move after finding his chances limited at the Giuseppe Meazza last season, making only five appearances.  The 20 year old Slovenia international, who was part of Slovenia’s World Cup Squad, was rumoured to have been attracting the attention of some of Europe’s major clubs, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United mentioned as possible admirers.

Nothing materialised from these suggestions though and he will now be playing his football at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara next season, moving in a co-ownership deal supposedly worth €2.5 million, plus a player.  With rumours intensifying about the possible departure of two of Inter’s first team players (these being Douglas Maicon and Mario Balotelli) Inter fans will perhaps be disappointed to learn that one of their team’s prospective talents has left.  However, the aforementioned player who is to move in the opposite direction to join Inter will certainly intrigue the Nerazzurri’s fans.

15 year old Lorenzo Paramatti is apparently among Italy’s brightest talents in his age group, and with the aid of the world class youth and training facilities at Inter it is hoped that he can develop into one of Inter and Italy’s future stars. He follows his father’s footsteps into football, with Paramatti senior, Michele, turning out 135 times for Bologna before briefly moving to Juventus and being part of the side that won the 2001/02 Scudetto on the last day of the season after Inter lost away to Lazio.

Perhaps with Khrin not developing enough as a footballer to force his way into the first team, and with possible future limits on the number of foreign players allowed in a squad, it is a wise move by Inter in the transfer market. As is the case though with youngsters anything is possible for their future and only time will tell. We all know how that turned out for Mario Balotelli.
