How to fertilize Astrophytum Myriostigma
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Astrophytum Myriostigma after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Does anyone know what kind of cactus this is?

Anyone know why my cactus went fuzzy? This guy was given to me by a student. I've tried not to overwater and I live in the desert 🤷♀️

Does anyone know the correct name of this cactus please? The label just says Astrophytum.

holes in cactus? idk what’s going on here, i just got this dude and there’s a hole near his base :( i thought nothing of it and potted him up-i can’t take a pic bc i know this species is finicky and i don’t wanna dig him out and stress him. it’s brown, he’s still firm tho and not mushy/rotted, roots are healthy as well. like literally nothing is wrong except the hole. i’m really sorry that i couldn’t provide a pic!! #CactusClique

There’s something wrong with my Bishop’s cap cactus and I don’t know what to do I just noticed today that there’s a dark spot on my Bishop’s cap cactus. It’s extremely squishy and it looks like there’s a ring of brown around the darker, squishy spot. It’s pretty big too, it goes about halfway around my cactus and at one point reaches about halfway up his side. What can I do? What have I been doing wrong? Can someone please help?
