Satisfaction is the brainchild of my cousin Alle. He was in a hotel and he pieced the noise of car horns in the traffic outside his window into the melody of the main riff of the track. At the same time he was experimenting with compressors and came up with what became our signature sound. The typical Benassi so-called “side-chain” although that’s not really how it’s done, in fact.

At the time I was inspired by electrohouse club tracks and sequencers, tracks like Funk A Tron by Robbie Rivera. Many years later Robbie made a track called Funk A Faction, fusing our two worlds!

We worked very hard together on the structure of the track, added the idea of the male and female vocals and hey presto, there it was!
