Kadarius Toney had himself a really rough 2023 season for the Kansas City Chiefs that led to him being left off the active roster for the team’s Super Bowl win.
But would Taylor Swift really take a shot at him inΒ The Alchemy, a song that is clearly very much about Travis Kelce?
That’s what fans are thinking. The specific lyric is this: “So when I touch down, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team.”
I honestly think there’s no way it’s specifically about Toney. For one thing, the Chiefs didn’t cut Toney, they benched him, and while there’s a “warm the benches” reference in the song, it doesn’t feel like it something she’d focus on.
