Nokia 520 Update Using NSU

I tried Nokia Software Update Retail version to update my Nokia lumia 520 .It shows software version of my cell as well as software version to be updates same .something like 1.0xxx.xx... .Doesnt updates change Software version number ?(While using my cell it shows update available but unfortunately I dont have wifi and 3g is useless ) .Only way I can Update is using pc .So if there is alternate or same method please help me out with it .Thank you in advance.

Edit your pic to remove the IEMI number.

That just shows no updates are available. Version on left is the same as the version on your phone on the right.

Don't bother flashing, you'd end up in the same place except all data lost.

Download Lumia 520 914 3046 0000 1329 2001 VAR IMEA sahil1990 rar <<< Download Indian Variant Rom

place the downloaded file(RM-914) C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products

then restart the program and Choose offline mode in NSU... and update.. i can confirm its working as i updated that way..

You'll lose all the applications..you'll need to download them again by choosing your windows phone backup after the update.

IM using lumia 520 India.. when i connect to nokia software updater for retail its shows new firmware available it is safe to download it..and i think if i upgraded the firmware i will get amber update
?? im badly waiting for it.

Its safe to download, but all your applications will be removed, but they can be installed again with a backup...

my version phone is "1030.6407.1308.0001" , and i tried to use NSU retail , it showes that i can update my phone to "3046.0000.1329.2001"



i wanna know : is it safe to update my phone using NSU retail ?

Hi can you help me out,,,i have got lumia 520 and when i bought it and opened here drive it gave me big MCC=429 error and saind navigation is not available for ur country or region,,,i live in Nepal,,,and got offline map of here also,,,,wat to doo????

Its absoulutely safe .It's from Nokia .Won't void your warranty .But your phone and contacts will be formatted (If you do it from Nokia store it will still get formatted and will take you more than 45 mins ) and you can also save lot of time .Once you restart and restore all your contacts will be restored and all your apps will get restored ( make sure you have Internet working on phone).

Nokia has released a new software package that basically does everything NSU does.
