(Yungasocereus inquisivensis)
The tree-shaped or shrubby,branched Yungasocereus inquisivensis reaches heights of 4 to 5 meters.Its dark green shoots have a diameter of 6 to 7 centimeters.The usually 6 to 10 ribs are straight,very blunt,up to 1 centimeter high and 1.5 centimeters wide.The 4 to 12 needle-like,brownish to gray spines are 1.5 to 3 centimeters long. The white,narrow bell-shaped flowers are slightly zygomorphic and often appear 5 to 8 in the vicinity of the shoot tip.They open during the day and at night and are 5 to 6 centimeters long. The fruits have a length between 2 and 2.8 centimeters.They contain small,broad-oval,glossy black seeds,slightly curved on the back,0.9 mm in length and 0.7 mm in width.
