This seed-grown inhabitant of the fog drenched Atacama Desert is almost unrecognizable in cultivation without the dense mats of lichen that cover wild plants. These giants grow alongside Copiapoa in some of the most exciting habitats on Earth, but are disappearing even faster than their ancient neighbors due to the climate crisis. 

 

Dimensions: Plant shown in a 3.5" pot.

Water: Water more frequently in the spring and summer, during its growing season. 

Sun Exposure: Some shade to full sun. 

Soil: 60% pumice + 40% regular potting mix or Stone Eaters Soil.

Temperature: Keep above 50°F.

Fertilize: During the spring/summer growing season with Super Kabuto Fertilizer.
