This Mercedes-Benz W202 C-Class got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1997 Mercedes-Benz C280 was first registered in Iowa and relocated to Florida where it was acquired by the current owner in 2022, and it now has 70k miles. The car is finished in Brilliant Emerald Metallic over beige MB-Tex upholstery and is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ eight-hole alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a sunroof, a Kenwood head unit, power-adjustable front seats, and automatic climate control. Work performed since 2022 is said to have included servicing the sunroof and replacing the brake rotors, tires, and fan clutch. This W202 is offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Brilliant Emerald Metallic (269), and exterior details include headlight wipers, power-adjustable mirrors, a powered antenna, tinted windows, and a sunroof, the latter of which was reportedly serviced in preparation for the sale. The 15″ eight-hole alloy wheels are wrapped in Yokohama tires that were mounted in 2024. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The brake rotors are said to have been replaced in 2022.
The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in beige MB-Tex upholstery, and burl wood veneer trim accents the center console and door panels. Additional appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a Kenwood head unit. the removed factory stereo is included in the sale. The sunroof cover upholstery is loose.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 70k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.8-liter M104 inline-six was factory-rated at 194 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque. The fan clutch was replaced in April 2022, per the selling dealer.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists registration history in Iowa and Florida.
